Anger is always the tip of the iceberg. Beneath your anger, many underlying emotions are waiting to surface, which we often consciously or unconsciously push further down, manifesting as anger.<\/p><p>At the tip, anger often manifests through visible actions such as slamming doors, yelling, angry tears, silent treatments, or physical aggression. However, beneath the tip, lies a much larger iceberg of emotions, thoughts, experiences, and memories that fuels and fires the outward anger expression.<\/p><p>These submerged emotions under anger could be due to various factors such as:<\/p><h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Hurt_and_Pain\"><\/span><strong><em><strong><em>Hurt and Pain<\/em><\/strong><\/em><\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h6><p>When you mask your sadness, hurt, or any other emotional discomfort or pain, over time it gradually <a href=\"https:\/\/soulmechanicstherapy.com\/zh\/shadow-self-unveiling-ourselves\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">shadows <\/a>and manifests itself as anger.<\/p><h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Fear_and_Insecurity\"><\/span><strong><em><strong><em>Fear and &nbsp;Insecurity<\/em><\/strong><\/em><\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h6><p>Unacknowledged or pushed aside fears, vulnerabilities, or insecurities that you are reluctant to bring to the surface to manifest themselves as anger.<\/p><h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Unresolved_Trauma\"><\/span><strong><em><strong><em>Unresolved Trauma<\/em><\/strong><\/em><\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h6><p><a href=\"https:\/\/soulmechanicstherapy.com\/zh\/inner-child-the-untold-story-of-abandonment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Past traumas<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/soulmechanicstherapy.com\/zh\/childhood-does-it-affect-our-present\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">baggage <\/a>such as neglect, abuse, or loss, that you may be ignoring often lingers beneath the tip. This influences the way you respond to stressors.<\/p><h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Frustration_and_Disappointment\"><\/span><strong><em><strong><em>Frustration and Disappointment<\/em><\/strong><\/em><\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h6><p>Your broken dreams, hopes, unmet expectations, or failures often grow into <a href=\"https:\/\/soulmechanicstherapy.com\/zh\/shadow-self-unveiling-ourselves\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">shadows <\/a>of disappointment and frustration, which also shows through anger.<\/p><h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Jealousy_and_Shame\"><\/span><strong><em><strong><em>Jealousy and Shame<\/em><\/strong><\/em><\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h6><p>Fear of our loved ones being taken away and feeling bad to think like that are related to jealousy and shame. Not acknowledging these feelings also leads to experiencing anger.<\/p><h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Guilt_and_Embarrassment\"><\/span><strong><em><strong><em>Guilt and Embarrassment<\/em><\/strong><\/em><\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h6><p>Guilt or feeling embarrassed can be strong emotions to be processed and regulated. Often you may cover these emotions with other copings, which may accumulate and be expressed through anger.<\/p><h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Tiredness_Hunger_and_Lack_of_Sleep\"><\/span><strong><em><strong><em>Tiredness, Hunger, and Lack of Sleep<\/em><\/strong><\/em><\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h6><p>Anger can also be a manifestation of your tiredness or need for quality sleep or food in your system. Neglecting these basic needs can lead to anger outbursts or irritation.<\/p><p>By diving deeper into your anger, you would be surprised to find many other underlying emotions that project themselves as anger. These behaviors are a way of expressing your inner turmoil subtly or indirectly outwards.<\/p><h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Constrained_Relationship\"><\/span><strong><em><strong><em>Constrained Relationship<\/em><\/strong><\/em><\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h6><p>Your relationship with loved ones can experience strain due to internalized anger as you may struggle to assert healthy boundaries or express your needs.
