The following outlines several strategies to develop good sleeping habits:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Set a fixed time of getting up on most days, if not every day.<\/li>\n<li>Only use the bedroom for sleep and sexual activity. Do not read, eat, or watch TV in bed.<\/li>\n<li>Make your bedroom comfortable and free of disturbing noise and light. Insulated curtains and closing the door can help.<\/li>\n<li>Keep room temperature moderate. A room that is too warm or too cold can disturb sleep.<\/li>\n<li>Eat regular meals and do not go to sleep hungry. A light snack before bedtime (especially carbohydrates) may help sleep. Avoid greasy or heavy foods.<\/li>\n<li>Avoid alcohol and caffeinated beverages in the evening.<\/li>\n<li>Avoid daytime naps. Staying awake during the day increases the chances of you sleeping better at night.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\r\n\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t<\/div>\r\n<h2  data-appear-animation=\"fadeInUp\" data-appear-animation-delay=\"200\" class=\"vc_custom_heading vc_do_custom_heading wpb_custom_aa365bd5046e8294520b4e73732b9d15 align-left\" ><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"2_Practice_Self-Compassion\"><\/span>2. In practice, you can notice that you\u2019re having loss of energy (mindfulness), be reminded that you are not alone and as close to 95% of people with depression have fatigue too (common humanity), and be gentle and patient with yourself (self-kindness).<\/p>\n<p>Self-compassion can be practiced by asking the quintessential question,\u00a0<b>\u201cWhat do I truly need?\u201d<\/b>, and then provide yourself that.<\/p>\n\r\n\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t<\/div>\r\n<h2  data-appear-animation=\"fadeInUp\" data-appear-animation-delay=\"200\" class=\"vc_custom_heading vc_do_custom_heading wpb_custom_aa365bd5046e8294520b4e73732b9d15 align-left\" ><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"3_Make_Effort_to_Exercise\"><\/span>3.
